Fiber ring
Our fiber ring consists of two connections between TelecityGroup and euNetworks, both located in Amsterdam. These two geographically separate connections enter TelecityGroup and euNetworks at different locations and are again connected to each other by fiber. On both locations we handle our exchanges, peerings and transit-providers. The network is equipped with high-end routers and switches.
High availabilityBecause of our redundant fiber ring, it's possible to realize higher uptimes for our clients. For example: we placed two identical servers in both our datacenters, connected to each other through the fiber ring. Should one server crash at location 1 due to some unforeseen reason, the server at location 2 will take over the work of this crashed machine without any downtime.
Depending on your wishes, we are able to offer different solutions. For more information about redundant server solutions or our fiber ring, please contact our sales department.

Fiber Connector
Light converted to data. The fiber ring is currently built on equipment that can send a maximum of 4 times 1 Gbit/s over fiber, for a total of 4 Gbit/s. To give you an impression: this is a total of 65.536 times the speed of ISDN. Our fiber ring is very scalable, it’s possible to upgrade the fiber ring's capacity when we have the need to do so.
