During the holidays, Cyso Managed Hosting will have different opening hours. Our servicedesk will be closed on the following days:
- Thursday December 25th (1st Christmas day)
- Friday December 26th (2nd Christmas day)
- Wednesday December 31th
- Thursday January 1st
- Friday January 2nd
Yesterday evening, October 23, between 20:00u and 24:00 CET, all Windows servers in our network have received a critical security patch released by Microsoft earlier that evening. After consulting with our contacts at Microsoft, the seriousness of the security issue has prompted us to take immediate action and perform this maintenance outside our regular maintenance window. As a result, you may have experienced a short disruption of our service during this time. Thank you for your understanding.

On Wednesday evening October 15, maintenance will be performed on our BlackBerry Enterprise platform. This maintenance will take place between 23:00 and 24:00 CET. During this time, messages to the devices will be delayed and sending mail will not be possible.

On Tuesday morning October 14, we will carry out maintenance to our network. As a consequence, there will be short discontinuances to the availability of our network. We strive to keep the total downtime to below 15 minutes. We will be making some significant improvements to our network infrastructure which will result in some downtime during the updates.

In the night of Thursday 2 on Friday 3 October we will carry out large maintenance on our Hosted Exchange platform. Because of this, the service will be interrupted temporarily during this time. All e-mail will be queued on our backup mail servers. Under no circumstances will email be lost. The maintenance period will start at 00:00 CET and will be finished around 03:00 CET.
Our web hosting packages have just been upgraded to new specifications. The new specifications are effective immediately both both existing and new customers. Please check our webhosting pages for the latest specifications
On Thurday July 7th and Friday July 18th, we will be moving to our new office. During these two days our support desk will be open as usual and we will do our very best to ensure any inconvenience will be kept to a minimum. Resolving of non-urgent requests may be slightly delayed, however.

On April 21, we dramatically decreased the prices of our Hosted Exchange products. We dropped the costs of the base subscription. Furthermore, we dramatically increased the size of the mailbox and lowered these prices as well. As an extra, we now offer the possibility of Fax2Email functionality as an additional option for your email. Plase visit our Hosted Exchange pages for details.
It's not possible to combine the old and new model. The old model (including BlackBerrys) will remain intact for existing customers. It is possible to switch to the new model starting from your next billing period. Customers with custom made prices will not be able to update automatically. New subscriptions will not have Public Folder functionality.
On friday the 21th of March our staff will be enjoying a company trip. You can reach us by phone in case of an emergency. Any other support issues will be taken care of , after Easter, on Tuesday 25 March.
We're proud to announce that we recently received the Microsoft Certified Partner status. This gives us many benefits with regards to receiving support and technical assistance from Microsoft. We think this is an important and logical step to take to ensure the professional service you've come to expect from us.
It also means that we will receive new Microsoft products sooner than before. This will allow us to test these products in advance and get to know them quicker, so we can offer them to you faster.
As you may may seen already, our service environment has received a visual overhaul. You might have seen it already in the Server Administration pages and, since last friday, in the Administration pages as well. We find the new layout fresher and more flexible. Our next step will be the Control Panel, which will receive the same treatment very soon.
During the first edition of the Dutch Datacentre and Hosting Summit,
on October 30 2007, the Dutch Hosting Provider Association (DHPA) was founded.
The goal of the DHPA is to lift the Dutch hosting sector to a higher level. Cyso
Managed Hosting is one of the initiators and founders of this platform.

This year, Cyso Managed Hosting expands once more. From October 1st, Marco and Stanley will join our team. They're both experienced with
working at an Internet Service Provider. We're very confident that Marco and Stanley will bring new knowledge to our company which
will help improve and expand services to our customers.
Due to the arrival of Stanley and Marco and two new interns, our office at
Baangracht 2 has become too small to allow for everyone to work there. We have therefore opened a second office at another canal in
Alkmaar. In this attractive environment, our development team will continue working on the various systems to improve our service to
you, our customers.

Cyso Managed Hosting has made its fiber ring available to its customers. This ring is a redundant dark fiber connection between our data centers at TelecityRedbus and euNetworks in Amsterdam. Through this solution, we are now able to offer an extended number of redundant internet services. It allows for load balanced services across our two data centers. It's official. Cyso Managed Hosting has made the decision to expand its data center operations by including a second data center in addition to our current suite at TelecityRedbus. As the additional data center, we have chosen euNetworks.

As a result of the success of our Hosted Exchange product, we've built a website specifically for this product. Here you can easily calculate what your specific Hosted Exchange requirements would cost. On October 10th, open registration for the .mobi domain started. A .mobi website is required to adhere to certain demands to make it well readable on a mobile device or PDA. Anyone can register a .mobi domain. Costs for a .mobi domain are EUR 32.95 per year, with a minimum registration period of two years.
Good news for our Hosted Exchange customers. Cyso Managed Hosting has decided to upgrade its default Hosted Exchange mailbox size from 75 MB to 200 MB. This, of course, without upgrading the price.

Because the high-growing communications markets of India and the Middle East, in 2004 FLAG announced its intention to build FALCON, a new multi-terabit cable system for the region. Currently these plans are being implemented.

This afternoon the new version of service.cyso.nl has been launched. In service.cyso.nl you will find all information about your subscriptions and maintain all your accounts in one central place.
We will replace our new email servers relating to mail.cyso.nl on 30 January 2006 at 06.00 AM. All UNIX mail accounts will use the new servers. All the current mail preferences remain the same. Possibly you will receive as small amount of e-mail messages twice. All email quotas will be upgraded to 75 megabytes . De email servers will have five times the capacity of the old server, this will make the maintenance of your email account considerably faster.
During the holidays other opening hours will be applied. The support desk will be closed on the following days:
